BioSpa is a complex blend of natural enzymes, which rapidly biodegrades the organic contaminants present in pools, spas, Jacuzzi’s and hot tubs. BioSpa is non-toxic, environmentally friendly and safe.
The ProblemNormally, this would be treated with chemicals but because bad bugs line the pipes, the use of chemicals is only a temporary solution.
Whilst chlorine does a good job of killing most bacterial germs, more often than not, germs still survive normal pool, hot tub or Jacuzzi levels of chlorine for several hours to days.
Moreover, the high water temperature of hot tubs and Jacuzzi may cause chlorine to evaporate even faster and if you can smell the chlorine odour, the water is not germ free.
Skin infections are the most common infections spread through hot tubs, Jacuzzis, spas and pools and according to the health authority; “hot tub rash” is a common side affect of using a dirty hot tub.
As an analogy, a teaspoon of tap water contains about 138 bacteria, whereas a teaspoon full of whirlpool tub water has an average of 2.2 million bugs. Recent research has indicated that bad bacteria derived from faeces were present in 95% of the samples taken from pools, spas and tubs and most alarmingly, 34% of samples taken, contained the potentially deadly staphylococcus bacteria (common infections include impetigio, skin infections which can be treated with anti-biotics).
BioSpa is the ONLY environmentally friendly way to improve the quality of pool, Jacuzzi, Hot Tub and spa waters. The product is a complex blend of natural enzymes, which rapidly biodegrades the organic contaminants present in pools, spas, Jacuzzi’s and hot tubs etc.
These so called enzymes are complex biocatalysts, which accelerate the natural biodegradation of organic materials. They are particularly effective on oils and fats and even the smallest quantity of enzymes can affect large quantities of matter.
BioSpa utilises many different enzymes in a non-toxic and safe way. Moreover, the product is compatible with and will enhance the performance of all pool sanitisers, such as chlorine, bromine, Baquacil, ionization and ozone. BioSpa is neutral and does not affect the water balance in any way.
As you will appreciate pools, spas, Jacuzzi’s and Hot Tubs are continually being contaminated with body lotions, fats, cosmetics and other organic soils from ‘bathers’ and is usually treated by filtration, to remove the contaminants, and sanitising to kill off bacteria.
BioSpa on the other hand, attacks these contaminants, continuously biodegrading them into their basic elemental compounds. This reduces the medium on which the bacteria breed, thereby reducing the quantity of bacteria produced and improving the visual and tactile quality of the water.

Apply manually into the skimmer, or directly into the pool at the rate of 1 litre per 10,000 litres of water. Add twice in the first week and once per week thereafter. During heavy bather loads use dosage twice per week.
For Jacuzzi and hot tub dosing, calculate the volume of water and then apply the above dosing criteria. As an example, a hot tub or Jacuzzi having 2000 litres would mean an initial dose of 40ml twice in the first week and once per week thereafter.
BioSpa can be safely applied when the pool, jacuzzi or hot tub are in use.
The product is non-toxic and non-hazardous and no special handling precautions are needed. Store in a cool, dry place and avoid freezing and temperatures above 50°C.
